Connect with your mental wellbeing.

 Be seen.

                Be heard.

                                    Be valued.

About Me

My name is Tanya (Tatyana) Finkelshtein (Gendalf). I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in Canada and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I am an active member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. My services are typically covered by private insurance in BC and throughout Canada. I conduct Zoom sessions, allowing my clients to connect with me worldwide from the comfort of their settings.

I specialize in working with teens, adults, couples, and families. My areas of expertise include trauma, grief, immigration, relationships, parenting, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, neurodiversity, loneliness, life transition, and more. With over ten years of experience supporting individuals with their mental health journey, my approach is person-centred, solution-based, and non-judgemental. I believe each person is unique in their strengths. I work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, races, religions and languages, providing therapy in English, Russian and Hebrew.

I am a woman, wife, and mother, and I am the author of a book about the journey of grief and loss of a child. When not working, I love spending time in my pottery studio, playing guitar, travelling, being in nature, and cherishing moments with my family, friends and our red-colour golden retriever, Sonya.
